9 Tips to Double Employee Engagement

Employee engagement has become a key responsibility for both managers and HR. Employee engagement is the key to organizational growth. If employees are not engaged enough, reaching business goals will always be a distant dream. This endeavor can be supported by cloud HR software, which will help HRs effectively manage employees. However, you must have the right employee engagement strategies.

Follow these 5 steps to do the same…

1. Strengthen your strengths and highlight them

Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of a team member, or team, in every meeting or 1:1 check-in, acknowledge what is working and what interpersonal and professional skills you admire in each person. This can help motivate even the lowest-performing employee to do better in both qualitative and quantitative ways.

2. Assist with visibility and networking

It is a great way to support your employee’s professional development and show that you appreciate them being part of your company. If you recognize the potential in a teammate, let them present a strategy to the meeting. It is also a great way to get to know people and share relevant courses and workshops or to have the chance to interact with them to learn or improve their skills.

3. Skills, qualifications, daily actions – All of them should be taken into consideration

Managers should not allow the skills they value most to be a reason for their employees to feel inferior or weak about their abilities and strengths. If you hold employees with automation and marketing skills highly in your eyes, you will find that you appreciate them and consider them the most competent. You can change your mind. Someone may be less great at specific attributes that you value but more skilled in other skills like grammar and writing. Highlighting personal qualities such as persistence or small things like ideas or input shared in meetings- all these are a great help.

4 Highlight contributions to senior leaders

Managers and colleagues must recognize and thank other employees, even if they do not work together. If this is not possible, you can also send a formal email thanking them for their efforts to keep your manager and any other relevant people in the cc.

5. To keep track of employees’ moods, use an emotional meter

The happiness of a business depends on its employees (employees). It is crucial to measure the happiness of your employees and show that you care about them. To determine employee happiness at work, get feedback from your employees on how they felt on a particular day.

6. Gamify the process

8. Create wellness catch-up breaks

Don’t just make calls about work, show your concern for their well-being. Employees will be more emotionally involved if you show them. Schedule catch-up calls at least once per week to talk about the family and what is going on. You can even arrange a fun online activity to do with them during a 15-minute coffee break.
